3:1 For, behold, in those days and at that
time, when I shall have turned the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,

3:2 I will also gather all the Gentiles, and bring them down to the valley
of Josaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and my heritage
Israel, who have been dispersed among the Gentiles; and [these Gentiles]
    have divided my land,

3:3 and cast lots over my people, and have given [their] boys to harlots,
and sold [their] girls for wine, and have drunk.

3:4 And what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Sidon, and all Galilee of
the Gentiles? do ye render me a recompense? or do ye bear malice against me?
quickly and speedily will I return your recompense on your own heads:

3:5 because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and ye have brought my
    choice ornaments into your temples;

3:6 and ye have sold the children of Judah and the children of Jerusalem to
the children of the Greeks, that ye might expel them from their coasts.

3:7 Therefore, behold, I [will] raise them up out of the place whither ye
have sold them, and I will return your recompense on your own heads.

3:8 And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hands of the
children of Judah, and they shall sell them into captivity to a far distant
nation: for Yehovah has spoken [it].

3:9 Proclaim these things among the Gentiles; declare war, arouse the
warriors, draw near and go up, all ye men of war.

3:10 Beat your ploughshares into swords, and your sickles into spears: let
the weak say, I am strong.

3:11 Gather yourselves together, and go in, all ye nations round about, and
gather yourselves there; let the timid become a warrior.

3:12 Let them be aroused, let all the nations go up to the valley of
Josaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the Gentiles round about.

3:13 Bring forth the sickles, for the vintage is come: go in, tread [the
grapes], for the press is full: cause the vats to overflow; for their
    wickedness is multiplied.

3:14 Noises have resounded in the valley of judgment: for the day of the
Lord is near in the valley of judgment.

3:15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw
    their light.

3:16 And Yehovah shall cry out of Zion, and shall utter his voice from
Jerusalem; and the heaven and the earth shall be shaken, but Yehovah shall
spare his people, and shall strengthen the children of Israel.

3:17 And ye shall know that I am Yehovah your Elohim, who dwell in Zion my
holy mountain: and Jerusalem shall be holy, and strangers shall not pass
    through her anymore.

3:18 And it shall come to pass in that day [that] the mountains shall drop
sweet wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the fountains of
Judah shall flow with water, and a fountain shall go forth of the house of
Yehovah, and water the valley of flags.

3:19 Egypt shall be a desolation, and Idumea shall be a desolate plain,
because of the wrongs of the children of Judah, because they have shed
    righteous blood in their land.

3:20 But Judea shall be inhabited for ever, and Jerusalem to all
    generations.

3:21 And I will make inquisition for their blood, and will by no means leave
it unavenged: and Yehovah shall dwell in Zion. |
3:1 For, behold, in those days, and in that
time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,

3:2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley
of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my
heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my
    land.

3:3 And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an
harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink.

3:4 Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the
coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense
    me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head;

3:5 Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your
    temples my goodly pleasant things:

3:6 The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold
unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border.

3:7 Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold them,
and will return your recompence upon your own head:

3:8 And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the
children of Judah, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans, to a people far
off: for Yehovah hath spoken it.

3:9 Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty
men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:

3:10 Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruninghooks into spears: let
the weak say, I am strong.

3:11 Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves
together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O Yehovah.

3:12 Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat:
for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.

3:13 Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for
the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.

3:14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the
Yehovah is near in the valley of decision.

3:15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw
    their shining.

3:16 Yehovah also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from
Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but Yehovah will be
the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

3:17 So shall ye know that I am Yehovah your Elohim dwelling in Zion, my holy
mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass
    through her any more.

3:18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop
down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of
Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth out of the
house of Yehovah, and shall water the valley of Shittim.

3:19 Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness,
for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed
    innocent blood in their land.

3:20 But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to
    generation.

3:21 For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for Yehovah
    dwelleth in Zion. |
