23:1 And Yehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
23:2 Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say unto them, The
feasts of Yehovah which ye shall call holy assemblies, these are my feasts.
23:3 Six days shalt thou do works, but on the seventh day is the sabbath; a
rest, a holy convocation to Yehovah: thou shalt not do any work, it is a
sabbath to Yehovah in all your dwellings.
23:4 These [are] the feasts to Yehovah, holy convocations, which ye shall
call in their seasons.
23:5 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, between the
evening times is Yehovah's passover.
23:6 And on the fifteenth day of this month is the feast of unleavened bread
to Yehovah; seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread.
23:7 And the first day shall be a holy convocation to you: ye shall do no
servile work.
23:8 And ye shall offer whole-burnt-offerings to Yehovah seven days; and
the seventh day shall be a holy convocation to you: ye shall do no servile
wok.
23:9 And Yehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
23:10 Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, When ye
shall enter into the land which I give you, and reap the harvest of it, then
shall ye bring a sheaf, the first-fruits of your harvest, to the priest;
23:11 and he shall lift up the sheaf before Yehovah, to be accepted for
you. On the morrow of the first day the priest shall lift it up.
23:12 And ye shall offer on the day on which ye bring the sheaf, a lamb
without blemish of a year old for a whole-burnt-offering to Yehovah.
23:13 And its meat-offering two tenth portions of fine flour mingled with
oil: it is a sacrifice to Yehovah, a smell of sweet savour to Yehovah, and
its drink-offering the fourth part of a hin of wine.
23:14 And ye shall not eat bread, or the new parched corn, until this same
day, until ye offer the sacrifices to your Elohim: [it is] a perpetual statute
throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
23:15 And ye shall number to yourselves from the day after the sabbath, from
the day on which ye shall offer the sheaf of the heave-offering, seven full
weeks:
23:16 until the morrow after the last week ye shall number fifty days, and
shall bring a new meat-offering to Yehovah.
23:17 Ye shall bring from your dwelling loaves, as a heave-offering, two
loaves: they shall be of two tenth portions of fine flour, they shall be
baked with leaven of the first-fruits to Yehovah.
23:18 And ye shall bring with the loaves seven unblemished lambs of a year
old, and one calf of the herd, and two rams without blemish, and they shall
be a whole-burnt-offering to Yehovah: and their meat-offerings and their
drink-offerings [shall be] a sacrifice, a smell of sweet savour to Yehovah.
23:19 And they shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin-offering, and
two lambs of a year old for a peace-offering, with the loaves of the
first-fruits.
23:20 And the priest shall place them with the loaves of the first-fruits an
offering before Yehovah with the two lambs, they shall be holy to Yehovah
they shall belong to the priest that brings them.
23:21 And ye shall call this day a convocation: it shall be holy to you; ye
shall do no servile work on it: it is a perpetual ordinance throughout your
generations in all your habitations.
23:22 And when ye shall reap the harvest of your land, ye shall not fully
reap the remainder of the harvest of your field when thou reapest, and thou
shalt not gather that which falls from thy reaping; thou shalt leave it for
the poor and the stranger: I [am] Yehovah your Elohim.
23:23 And Yehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
23:24 Speak to the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, on the
first day of the month, ye shall have a rest, a memorial of trumpets: it
shall be to you a holy convocation.
23:25 Ye shall do no servile work, and ye shall offer a whole-burnt-offering
to Yehovah.
23:26 And Yehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
23:27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month is a day of atonement: it
shall be a holy convocation to you; and ye shall humble your souls, and
offer a whole-burnt-offering to Yehovah.
23:28 Ye shall do no work on this self-same day: for this is a day of
atonement for you, to make atonement for you before Yehovah your Elohim.
23:29 Every soul that shall not be humbled in that day, shall be cut off
from among its people.
23:30 And every soul which shall do work on that day, that soul shall be
destroyed from among its people.
23:31 Ye shall do no manner of work: it is a perpetual statute throughout
your generations in all your habitations.
23:32 It shall be a holy sabbath to you; and ye shall humble your souls,
from the ninth day of the month: from evening to evening ye shall keep your
sabbaths.
23:33 And Yehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
23:34 Speak to the children of Israel, saying, On the fifteenth day of this
seventh month, there shall be a feast of tabernacles seven days to Yehovah.
23:35 And on the first day shall be a holy convocation; ye shall do no
servile work.
23:36 Seven days shall ye offer whole-burnt-offerings to Yehovah, and the
eighth-day shall be a holy convocation to you; and ye shall offer
whole-burnt-offerings to Yehovah: it is a time of release, ye shall do no
servile work.
23:37 These [are] the feasts to Yehovah, which ye shall call holy
convocations, to offer burnt-offerings to Yehovah, whole-burnt-offerings
and their meat-offerings, and their drink-offerings, that for each day on
its day:
23:38 besides the sabbaths of Yehovah, and besides your gifts, and besides
all your vows, and besides your free-will-offerings, which ye shall give to
Yehovah.
23:39 And on the fifteenth day of this seventh month, when ye shall have
completely gathered in the fruits of the earth, ye shall keep a feast to the
Lord seven days; on the first day there shall be a rest, and on the eighth
day a rest.
23:40 And on the first day ye shall take goodly fruit of trees, and branches
of palm trees, and thick boughs of trees, and willows, and branches of
osiers from the brook, to rejoice before Yehovah your Elohim seven days in the
year.
23:41 [It is] a perpetual statute for your generations: in the seventh month
ye shall keep it.
23:42 Seven days ye shall dwell in tabernacles: every native in Israel shall
dwell in tents,
23:43 that your posterity may see, that I made the children of Israel to
dwell in tents, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I [am] the
Lord your Elohim.
23:44 And Moses recounted the feasts of Yehovah to the children of Israel. |
23:1 And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
23:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the
feasts of Yehovah, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even
these are my feasts.
23:3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of
rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of
Yehovah in all your dwellings.
23:4 These are the feasts of Yehovah, even holy convocations, which ye
shall proclaim in their seasons.
23:5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is Yehovah's passover.
23:6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened
bread unto Yehovah: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.
23:7 In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no
servile work therein.
23:8 But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah seven days:
in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work
therein.
23:9 And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
23:10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come
into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof,
then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the
priest:
23:11 And he shall wave the sheaf before Yehovah, to be accepted for you:
on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.
23:12 And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without
blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto Yehovah.
23:13 And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour
mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto Yehovah for a sweet savor:
and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin.
23:14 And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears,
until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your Elohim: it
shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your
dwellings.
23:15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from
the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall
be complete:
23:16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty
days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto Yehovah.
23:17 Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth
deals; they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baked with leaven; they
are the firstfruits unto Yehovah.
23:18 And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the
first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt
offering unto Yehovah, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings,
even an offering made by fire, of sweet savor unto Yehovah.
23:19 Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and
two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings.
23:20 And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a
wave offering before Yehovah, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the
Yehovah for the priest.
23:21 And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy
convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a
statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.
23:22 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean
riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou
gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and
to the stranger: I am Yehovah your Elohim.
23:23 And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
23:24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in
the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing
of trumpets, an holy convocation.
23:25 Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering
made by fire unto Yehovah.
23:26 And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
23:27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of
atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict
your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah.
23:28 And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of
atonement, to make an atonement for you before Yehovah your Elohim.
23:29 For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same
day, he shall be cut off from among his people.
23:30 And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the
same soul will I destroy from among his people.
23:31 Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever
throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
23:32 It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your
souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye
celebrate your sabbath.
23:33 And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
23:34 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this
seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the
Yehovah.
23:35 On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile
work therein.
23:36 Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah: on
the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an
offering made by fire unto Yehovah: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall
do no servile work therein.
23:37 These are the feasts of Yehovah, which ye shall proclaim to be holy
convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah, a burnt
offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing
upon his day:
23:38 Beside the sabbaths of Yehovah, and beside your gifts, and beside all
your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the
Yehovah.
23:39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered
in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto Yehovah seven days: on
the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.
23:40 And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees,
branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the
brook; and ye shall rejoice before Yehovah your Elohim seven days.
23:41 And ye shall keep it a feast unto Yehovah seven days in the year. It
shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in
the seventh month.
23:42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born
shall dwell in booths:
23:43 That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to
dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am Yehovah
your Elohim.
23:44 And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of Yehovah. |
