Osee (Hosea) 3

Osee (Hosea) 3

3:1 And Yehovah said to me, Go yet, and love a woman that loves evil things, an adulteress, even as Yehovah loves the children of Israel, and they have respect to strange gods, and love cakes of dried grapes.

3:2 So I hired [her] to myself for fifteen [pieces] of silver, and a homer of barley, and a flagon of wine.

3:3 And I said unto her, Thou shalt wait for me many days; and thou shalt not commit fornication, neither shalt thou be for [another] man; and I [will be] for thee.

3:4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an altar, and without a priesthood, and without manifestations.

3:5 And afterward shall the children of Israel return, and shall seek Yehovah their Elohim, and David their king; and shall be amazed at Yehovah and at his goodness in the latter days.

3:1 Then said Yehovah unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of Yehovah toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine.

3:2 So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley:

3:3 And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee.

3:4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:

3:5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek Yehovah their Elohim, and David their king; and shall fear Yehovah and his goodness in the latter days.
