Psalm 30

Psalm 30

For the end, a Psalm and Song at the dedication of the house of David.

30:1 I will exalt thee, O Yehovah; for thou hast lifted me up, and not caused mine enemies to rejoice over me.

30:2 O Yehovah my Elohim, I cried to thee, and thou didst heal me.

30:3 O Yehovah, thou hast brought up my soul from Sheol, thou hast delivered me from [among] them that go down to the pit.

30:4 Sing to Yehovah, ye his saints, and give thanks for the remembrance of his holiness.

30:5 For anger is in his wrath, but life in his favour: weeping shall tarry for the evening, but joy shall be in the morning.

30:6 And I said in my prosperity, I shall never be moved.

30:7 O Yehovah, in thy good pleasure thou didst add strength to my beauty: but thou didst turn away thy face, and I was troubled.

30:8 To thee, O Yehovah, will I cry; and to my Elohim will I make supplication.

30:9 What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to destruction? Shall the dust give praise to thee? or shall it declare thy truth?

30:10 Yehovah heard, and had compassion upon me; Yehovah is become my helper.

30:11 Thou hast turned my mourning into joy for me: thou hast rent off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

30:12 that my glory may sing praise to thee, and I may not be pierced [with sorrow]. O Yehovah my Elohim, I will give thanks to thee for ever.

A Psalm [and] Song at the dedication of the house of David.

30:1 I will extol thee, O Yehovah; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

30:2 O Yehovah my Elohim, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

30:3 O Yehovah, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

30:4 Sing unto Yehovah, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

30:5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

30:6 And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.

30:7 Yehovah, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.

30:8 I cried to thee, O Yehovah; and unto Yehovah I made supplication.

30:9 What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?

30:10 Hear, O Yehovah, and have mercy upon me: Yehovah, be thou my helper.

30:11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

30:12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Yehovah my Elohim, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.
