Psalm 66

Psalm 66

For the end, a Song of Psalm of resurrection.

66:1 Shout unto Elohim, all the earth.

66:2 O sing praises to his name; give glory to his praise.

66:3 Say unto Elohim, How awful are thy works! through the greatness of thy power thine enemies shall lie to thee.

66:4 Let all the earth worship thee, and sing to thee; let them sing to thy name. Pause.

66:5 Come and behold the works of Elohim; [he is] terrible in [his] counsels beyond the children of men.

66:6 Who turns the sea into dry land; they shall go through the river on foot; there shall we rejoice in him,

66:7 who by his power is Yehovah over the age, his eyes look upon the nations; let not them that provoke [him] be exalted in themselves. Pause.

66:8 Bless our Elohim, ye Gentiles, and make the voice of his praise to be heard;

66:9 who quickens my soul in life, and does not suffer my feet to be moved.

66:10 For thou, O Elohim, has proved us; thou hast tried us with fire as silver is tried.

66:11 Thou broughtest us into the snare; thou laidest afflictions on our back.

66:12 Thou didst mount men upon our heads; we went through the fire and water; but thou broughtest us out into [a place of] refreshment.

66:13 I will go into thine house with whole-burnt-offerings; I will pay thee my vows,

66:14 which my lips framed, and my mouth uttered in my affliction.

66:15 I will offer to thee whole-burnt-sacrifices full of marrow, with incense and rams; I will sacrifice to thee oxen with goats. Pause.

66:16 Come, hear, and I will tell, all ye that fear Elohim, how great things he has done for my soul.

66:17 I cried to him with my mouth, and exalted him with my tongue.

66:18 If I have regarded iniquity in my heart, let not Yehovah hearken [to me].

66:19 Therefore Elohim has hearkened to me; he has attended to the voice of my prayer.

66:20 Blessed be Elohim, who has not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

To the chief Musician, A Song [or] Psalm.

66:1 Make a joyful noise unto Elohim, all ye lands:

66:2 Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.

66:3 Say unto Elohim, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.

66:4 All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.

66:5 Come and see the works of Elohim: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.

66:6 He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.

66:7 He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.

66:8 O bless our Elohim, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:

66:9 Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.

66:10 For thou, O Elohim, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.

66:11 Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.

66:12 Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.

66:13 I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,

66:14 Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.

66:15 I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.

66:16 Come and hear, all ye that fear Elohim, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.

66:17 I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.

66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, Yehovah will not hear me:

66:19 But verily Elohim hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.

66:20 Blessed be Elohim, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
