Psalm 68

Psalm 68

For the end, a Psalm of a Song by David.

68:1 Let Elohim arise, and let his enemies be scattered; and let them that hate him flee from before him.

68:2 As smoke vanishes, let them vanish: as wax melts before the fire, so let the sinners perish from before Elohim.

68:3 But let the righteous rejoice; let them exult before Elohim: let them be delighted with joy.

68:4 Sing to Elohim, sing praises to his name: make a way for him that rides upon the west (Yehovah is his name) and exult before him. They shall be troubled before the face of him,

68:5 [who is] the father of the orphans, and judge of the widows: [such is] Elohim in his holy place.

68:6 Elohim settles the solitary in a house; leading forth prisoners mightily, also them that act provokingly, [even] them that dwell in tombs.

68:7 O Elohim, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou wentest through the wilderness; Pause:

68:8 the earth quaked, yea, the heavens dropped [water] at the presence of the Elohim of Sina, at the presence of the Elohim of Israel.

68:9 O Elohim, thou wilt grant to thine inheritance a gracious rain; for it was weary, but thou didst refresh it.

68:10 Thy creatures dwell in it: thou hast in thy goodness prepared for the poor.

68:11 Yehovah Elohim will give a word to them that preach [it] in a great company.

68:12 The king of the forces of the beloved, of the beloved, [will] even [grant them] for the beauty of the house to divide the spoils.

68:13 Even if ye should lie among the lots, [ye shall have] the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her breast with yellow gold.

68:14 When the heavenly One scatters kings upon it, they shall be made snow-white in Selmon.

68:15 The mountain of Elohim is a rich mountain; a swelling mountain, a rich mountain.

68:16 Wherefore do ye conceive [evil], ye swelling mountains? [this is] the mountain which Elohim has delighted to dwell in; yea, Yehovah will dwell [in it] for ever.

68:17 The chariots of Elohim are ten thousand fold, thousands of rejoicing ones: Yehovah is among them, in Sina, in the holy place.

68:18 Thou art gone up on high, thou hast led captivity captive, thou hast received gifts for man, yea, for [they were] rebellious, that thou mightest dwell among them.

68:19 Blessed be Yehovah Elohim, blessed be Yehovah daily; and the Elohim of our salvation shall prosper us. Pause.

68:20 Our Elohim is the Elohim of salvation; and to Yehovah belong the issues from death.

68:21 But Elohim shall crust the heads of his enemies; the hairy crown of them that go on in their trespasses.

68:22 Yehovah said, I will bring again from Basan, I will bring [my people] again through the depths of the sea.

68:23 That thy foot may be dipped in blood, [and] the tongue of thy dogs [be stained] with that of [thine] enemies.

68:24 Thy goings, O Elohim, have been seen; the goings of my Elohim, the king, in the sanctuary.

68:2 The princes went first, next before the players on instruments, in the midst of damsels playing on timbrels.

68:26 Praise Elohim in the congregations, Yehovah from the fountains of Israel.

68:27 There is Benjamin the younger [one] in ecstasy, the princes of Judah their rulers, the princes of Zabulon, the princes of Nephthali.

68:28 O Elohim, command thou thy strength: strengthen, O Elohim, this which thou hast wrought in us.

68:29 Because of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents to thee.

68:30 Rebuke the wild beasts of the reed: let the crowd of bulls with the heifers of the nations [be rebuked], so that they who have been proved with silver may not be shut out: scatter thou the nations that wish for wars.

68:31 Ambassadors shall arrive out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall hasten [to stretch out] her hand readily to Elohim.

68:32 Sing to Elohim, ye kingdoms of the earth; sing psalms to Yehovah. Pause.

68:33 Sing to Elohim that rides on the heaven of heaven, eastward: lo, he will utter a mighty sound with his voice.

68:34 Give ye glory to Elohim: his excellency is over Israel, and his power is in the clouds.

68:35 Elohim is wonderful in his holy [places], the Elohim of Israel: he will give power and strength to his people: blessed be Elohim.

To the chief Musician, A Psalm [or] Song of David.

68:1 Let Elohim arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.

68:2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of Elohim.

68:3 But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before Elohim: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.

68:4 Sing unto Elohim, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.

68:5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is Elohim in his holy habitation.

68:6 Elohim setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

68:7 O Elohim, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah:

68:8 The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of Elohim: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of Elohim, the Elohim of Israel.

68:9 Thou, O Elohim, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.

68:10 Thy congregation hath dwelt therein: thou, O Elohim, hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor.

68:11 Yehovah gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.

68:12 Kings of armies did flee apace: and she that tarried at home divided the spoil.

68:13 Though ye have lien among the pots, yet shall ye be as the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold.

68:14 When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it was white as snow in Salmon.

68:15 The hill of Elohim is as the hill of Bashan; an high hill as the hill of Bashan.

68:16 Why leap ye, ye high hills? this is the hill which Elohim desireth to dwell in; yea, Yehovah will dwell in it for ever.

68:17 The chariots of Elohim are twenty thousand, even thousands of Messengers: the Yehovah is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.

68:18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that Yehovah Elohim might dwell among them.

68:19 Blessed be Yehovah, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the Elohim of our salvation. Selah.

68:20 He that is our Elohim is the Elohim of salvation; and unto GOD Yehovah belong the issues from death.

68:21 But Elohim shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses.

68:22 Yehovah said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea:

68:23 That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thine enemies, and the tongue of thy dogs in the same.

68:24 They have seen thy goings, O Elohim; even the goings of my Elohim, my King, in the sanctuary.

68:25 The singers went before, the players on instruments followed after; among them were the damsels playing with timbrels.

68:26 Bless ye Elohim in the congregations, even Yehovah, from the fountain of Israel.

68:27 There is little Benjamin with their ruler, the princes of Judah and their council, the princes of Zebulun, and the princes of Naphtali.

68:28 Thy Elohim hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O Elohim, that which thou hast wrought for us.

68:29 Because of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto thee.

68:30 Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the people, till every one submit himself with pieces of silver: scatter thou the people that delight in war.

68:31 Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto Elohim.

68:32 Sing unto Elohim, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto Yehovah; Selah:

68:33 To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice.

68:34 Ascribe ye strength unto Elohim: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.

68:35 O Elohim, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the Elohim of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be Elohim.
