Psalm 84

Psalm 84

For the end, a Psalm for the sons of Core, concerning the wine-presses.

84:1 How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Yehovah of hosts!

84:2 My soul longs, and faints for the courts of Yehovah: my heart and my flesh have exulted in the living god.

84:3 Yea, the sparrow has found himself a home, and the turtle-dove a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, [even] thine altars, O Yehovah of hosts my King, and my Elohim.

84:4 Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will praise thee evermore. Pause.

84:5 Blessed is the man whose help is of thee, O Yehovah; in his heart he has purposed to go up

84:6 the valley of weeping, to the place which he has appointed, for [there] the law-giver will grant blessings.

84:7 They shall go from strength to strength: the Elohim of gods shall be seen in Zion.

84:8 O Yehovah Elohim of hosts, hear my prayer: hearken, O Elohim of Jacob. Pause.

84:9 Behold, O Elohim our defender, and look upon the face of thine anointed.

84:10 For one day in thy courts is better than thousands. I would rather be an abject in the house of Elohim, than dwell in the tents of sinners.

84:11 For Yehovah loves mercy and truth: Elohim will give grace and glory: the Yehovah will not withhold good things from them that walk in innocence.

84:12 O Yehovah of hosts, blessed is the man that trusts in thee.

To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm for the sons of Korah.

84:1 How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Yehovah of hosts!

84:2 My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of Yehovah: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living Elohim.

84:3 Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O Yehovah of hosts, my King, and my Elohim.

84:4 Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.

84:5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.

84:6 Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.

84:7 They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before Elohim.

84:8 O Yehovah Elohim of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O Elohim of Jacob. Selah.

84:9 Behold, O Elohim our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.

84:10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my Elohim, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

84:11 For Yehovah Elohim is a sun and shield: Yehovah will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

84:12 O Yehovah of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
