Psalm 94

Psalm 94

A Psalm of David for the fourth [day] of the week.

94:1 Yehovah is a Elohim of vengeance; the Elohim of vengeance has declared himself.

94:2 Be thou exalted, thou that judgest the earth: render a reward to the proud.

94:3 How long shall sinners, O Yehovah, how long shall sinners boast?

94:4 They will utter and speak unrighteousness; all the workers of iniquity will speak [so].

94:5 They have afflicted thy people, O Yehovah, and hurt thine heritage.

94:6 They have slain the widow and fatherless, and murdered the stranger.

94:7 And they said, Yehovah shall not see, neither shall the Elohim of Jacob understand.

94:8 Understand now, ye simple among the people; and ye fools, at length be wise.

94:9 He that planted the ear, does he not hear? or he that formed the eye, does not he perceive?

94:10 He that chastises the heathen, shall not he punish, [even] he that teaches man knowledge?

94:11 Yehovah knows the thoughts of men, that they are vain.

94:12 Blessed is the man whomsoever thou shalt chasten, O Yehovah, and shalt teach him out of thy law;

94:13 to give him rest from evil days, until a pit be digged for the sinful one.

94:14 For Yehovah will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance;

94:15 until righteousness return to judgment, and all the upright in heart shall follow it. Pause.

94:16 Who will rise up for me against the transgressors? or who will stand up with me against the workers of iniquity?

94:17 If Yehovah had not helped me, my soul had almost sojourned in Sheol.

94:18 If I said, My foot has been moved;

94:19 thy mercy, O Yehovah, helped me. O Yehovah, according to the multitude of my griefs within my heart, thy consolation have soothed my soul.

94:20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frames mischief by an ordinance?

94:21 They will hunt for the soul of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood.

94:22 But Yehovah was my refuge; and my Elohim the helper of my hope.

94:23 And he will recompense to them their iniquity and their wickedness: Yehovah our Elohim shall utterly destroy them.

94:1 O Yehovah Elohim, to whom vengeance belongeth; O Elohim, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

94:2 Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

94:3 Yehovah, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

94:4 How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

94:5 They break in pieces thy people, O Yehovah, and afflict thine heritage.

94:6 They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

94:7 Yet they say, Yehovah shall not see, neither shall the Elohim of Jacob regard it.

94:8 Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

94:9 He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

94:10 He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?

94:11 Yehovah knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

94:12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Yehovah, and teachest him out of thy law;

94:13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

94:14 For Yehovah will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

94:15 But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

94:16 Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

94:17 Unless Yehovah had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

94:18 When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Yehovah, held me up.

94:19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

94:20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

94:21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

94:22 But Yehovah is my defence; and my Elohim is the rock of my refuge.

94:23 And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, Yehovah our Elohim shall cut them off.
