Psalm 131

Psalm 131

A Song of Degrees.

131:1 O Yehovah, my heart is not exalted, neither have mine eyes been [haughtily] raised: neither have I exercised myself in great [matters], nor in things too wonderful for me.

131:2 [I shall have sinned] if I have not been humble, but have exulted my soul: according to [the relation of] a weaned child to his mother, so wilt thou recompense my soul.

131:3 Let Israel hope in Yehovah, from henceforth and for ever.

A Song of degrees of David.

131:1 Yehovah, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.

131:2 Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.

131:3 Let Israel hope in Yehovah from henceforth and for ever.
