6:1 And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes,
and looked, and, behold, four chariots coming out from between two
mountains; and the mountains were brazen mountains.
6:2 In the first chariot [were] red horses; and in the second chariot black
horses;
6:3 and in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot piebald
[and] ash-coloured horses.
6:4 And I answered and said to the Messenger that talked with me, What are
these, my Lord?
6:5 And the Messenger that talked with me answered and said, These are the four
winds of heaven, [and] they are going forth to stand before Yehovah of all
the earth.
6:6 [As for the chariot] in which were the black horses, they went out to
the land of the north; and the white went out after them; and the piebald
went out to the land of the south.
6:7 And the ash-coloured went out, and looked to go and compass the earth:
and he said, Go, and compass the earth. And they compassed the earth.
6:8 And he cried out and spoke to me, saying, Behold, these go out to the
land of the north, and they have quieted mine anger in the land of the
north.
6:9 And the word of Yehovah came to me, saying,
6:10 Take the things of the captivity from the chief men, and from the
useful men of it, and from them that have understood it; and thou shalt
enter in that day into the house of Josiah the son of Sophonias that came
out of Babylon.
6:11 And thou shalt take silver and gold, and make crowns, and thou shalt
put [them] upon the head of Jesus the son of Josedec the high priest;
6:12 and thou shalt say to him, Thus saith Yehovah Almighty; Behold the man
whose name is The Branch; and he shall spring up from his stem, and build
the house of Yehovah.
6:13 And he shall receive power, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and
there shall be a priest on his right hand, and a peaceable counsel shall be
between [them] both.
6:14 And the crown shall be to them that wait patiently, and to the useful
men of the captivity, and to them that have known it, and for the favour of
the son of Sophonias, and for a psalm in the house of Yehovah.
6:15 And they [that are] far from them shall come and build in the house of
Yehovah, and ye shall know that Yehovah Almighty has sent me to you: and
[this] shall come to pass, if ye will diligently hearken to the voice of Yehovah your Elohim. |

6:3 And in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled
and bay horses.
6:4 Then I answered and said unto the Messenger that talked with me, What are
these, my lord?
6:5 And the Messenger answered and said unto me, These are the four spirits of
the heavens, which go forth from standing before Yehovah of all the earth.
6:6 The black horses which are therein go forth into the north country; and
the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth toward the south
country.
6:7 And the bay went forth, and sought to go that they might walk to and fro
through the earth: and he said, Get you hence, walk to and fro through the
earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth.
6:8 Then cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that go
toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.
6:9 And the word of Yehovah came unto me, saying,
6:10 Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of
Jedaiah, which are come from Babylon, and come thou the same day, and go
into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah;
6:11 Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head
of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest;
6:12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh Yehovah of hosts, saying,
Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his
place, and he shall build the temple of Yehovah:
6:13 Even he shall build the temple of Yehovah; and he shall bear the
glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon
his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
6:14 And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and
to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of Yehovah.
6:15 And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of Yehovah, and ye shall know that Yehovah of hosts hath sent me unto you. And
this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of Yehovah
your Elohim. |
