4:1 And Yehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
4:2 Speak to the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin unwillingly
before Yehovah, in any of the commandments of Yehovah concerning things
which he ought not to do, and shall do some of them;
4:3 if the anointed priest sin so as to cause the people to sin, then shall
he bring for his sin, which he has sinned, an unblemished calf of the herd
to Yehovah for his sin.
4:4 And he shall bring the calf to the door of the tabernacle of witness
before Yehovah, and he shall put his hand on the head of the calf before
Yehovah, and shall slay the calf in the presence of Yehovah.
4:5 And the anointed priest who has been consecrated having received of the
blood of the calf, shall then bring it into the tabernacle of witness.
4:6 And the priest shall dip his finger into the blood, and sprinkle of the
blood seven times before Yehovah, over against the holy veil.
4:7 And the priest shall put of the blood of the calf on the horns of the
altar of the compound incense which is before Yehovah, which is in the
tabernacle of witness; and all the blood of the calf shall he pour out by
the foot of the altar of whole-burnt-offerings, which is by the doors of the
tabernacle of witness.
4:8 and all the fat of the calf of the sin-offering shall he take off from
it; the fat that covers the inwards, and all the fat that is on the inwards,
4:9 and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is on the
thighs, and the caul that is on the liver with the kidneys, them shall he
take away,
4:10 as he takes it away from the calf of the sacrifice of peace-offering,
so shall the priest offer it on the altar of burnt-offering.
4:11 And [they shall take] the skin of the calf, and all his flesh with the
head and the extremities and the belly and the dung,
4:12 and they shall carry out the whole calf out of the camp into a clean
place, where they pour out the ashes, and they shall consume it there on
wood with fire: it shall be burnt on the ashes poured out.
4:13 And if the whole congregation of Israel trespass ignorantly, and a
thing should escape the notice of the congregation, and they should do one
thing forbidden of any of the commands of Yehovah, which ought not to be
done, and should transgress:
4:14 and the sin wherein they have sinned should become known to them, then
shall the congregation bring an unblemished calf of the herd for a
sin-offering, and they shall bring it to the doors of the tabernacle of
witness.
4:15 And the elders of the congregation shall lay their hands on the head of
the calf before Yehovah, and they shall slay the calf before Yehovah.
4:16 And the anointed priest shall bring in of the blood of the calf into
the tabernacle of witness.
4:17 And the priest shall dip his finger into some of the blood of the calf,
and shall sprinkle it seven times before Yehovah, in front of the veil of
the sanctuary.
4:18 And the priest shall put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of
the incense of composition, which is before Yehovah, which is in the
tabernacle of witness; and he shall pour out all the blood at the bottom of
the altar of whole-burnt-offerings, which is by the door of the tabernacle
of witness.
4:19 And he shall take away all the fat from it, and shall offer it up on
the altar.
4:20 And he shall do to the calf as he did to the calf of the sin-offering,
so shall it be done; and the priest shall make atonement for them, and the
trespass shall be forgiven them.
4:21 And they shall carry forth the calf whole without the camp, and they
shall burn the calf as they burnt the former calf: it is the sin-offering of
the congregation.
4:22 And if a ruler sin, and break one of all the commands of Yehovah his
Elohim, [doing the thing] which ought not to be done, unwillingly, and shall
sin and trespass,
4:23 and his trespass wherein he has sinned, be known to him,-- then shall
he offer for his gift a kid of the goats, a male without blemish.
4:24 And he shall lay his hand on the head of the kid, and they shall kill
it in the place were they kill the [victims for] whole-burnt-offerings
before Yehovah; it is a sin-offering.
4:25 And the priest shall put some of the blood of the sin-offering with his
finger on the horns of the altar of whole-burnt-offering; and he shall pour
out all its blood by the bottom of the altar of whole-burnt-offerings.
4:26 And he shall offer up all his fat on the altar, as the fat of the
sacrifice of peace-offering; and the priest shall make atonement for him
concerning his sin, and it shall be forgiven him.
4:27 And if a soul of the people of the land should sin unwillingly, in
doing a thing [contrary to] any of the commandments of Yehovah, which ought
not to be done, and shall transgress,
4:28 and his sin should be known to him, wherein he has sinned, then shall
he bring a kid of the goats, a female without blemish shall he bring for his
sin, which he has sinned.
4:29 And he shall lay his hand on the head of his sin-offering, and they
shall slay the kid of the sin-offering in the place where they slay the
[victims for] whole-burnt-offerings.
4:30 And the priest shall take of its blood with his finger, and shall put
it on the horns of the altar of whole-burnt-offerings; and all its blood he
shall pour forth by the foot of the altar.
4:31 And he shall take away all the fat, as the fat is taken away from the
sacrifice of peace-offering, and the priest shall offer it on the altar for
a smell of sweet savour to Yehovah; and the priest shall make atonement for
him, and [his sin] shall be forgiven him.
4:32 And if he should offer a lamb for his sin-offering, he shall offer it a
female without blemish.
4:33 And he shall lay his hand on the head of the sin-offerings, and they
shall kill it in the place where they kill the [victims for]
whole-burnt-offerings.
4:34 And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin-offering with his
finger, and shall put it on the horns of the altar of whole-burnt-offerings,
and he shall pour out all its blood by the bottom of the altar of
whole-burnt-offering.
4:35 And he shall take away ll his fat, as the fat of the lamb of the
sacrifice of peace-offering is taken away, and the priest shall put it on
the altar for a whole-burnt-offering to Yehovah; and the priest shall make
atonement for him for the sin which he sinned, and it shall be forgiven him. |

ignorance against any of the commandments of Yehovah concerning things
which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them:
4:3 If the priest that is anointed do sin according to the sin of the
people; then let him bring for his sin, which he hath sinned, a young
bullock without blemish unto Yehovah for a sin offering.
4:4 And he shall bring the bullock unto the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation before Yehovah; and shall lay his hand upon the bullock's
head, and kill the bullock before Yehovah.
4:5 And the priest that is anointed shall take of the bullock's blood, and
bring it to the tabernacle of the congregation:
4:6 And the priest shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle of the
blood seven times before Yehovah, before the vail of the sanctuary.
4:7 And the priest shall put some of the blood upon the horns of the altar
of sweet incense before Yehovah, which is in the tabernacle of the
congregation; and shall pour all the blood of the bullock at the bottom of
the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door of the tabernacle of
the congregation.
4:8 And he shall take off from it all the fat of the bullock for the sin
offering; the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon
the inwards,
4:9 And the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the
flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take
away,
4:10 As it was taken off from the bullock of the sacrifice of peace
offerings: and the priest shall burn them upon the altar of the burnt
offering.
4:11 And the skin of the bullock, and all his flesh, with his head, and with
his legs, and his inwards, and his dung,
4:12 Even the whole bullock shall he carry forth without the camp unto a
clean place, where the ashes are poured out, and burn him on the wood with
fire: where the ashes are poured out shall he be burnt.
4:13 And if the whole congregation of Israel sin through ignorance, and the
thing be hid from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done somewhat
against any of the commandments of Yehovah concerning things which should
not be done, and are guilty;
4:14 When the sin, which they have sinned against it, is known, then the
congregation shall offer a young bullock for the sin, and bring him before
the tabernacle of the congregation.
4:15 And the elders of the congregation shall lay their hands upon the head
of the bullock before Yehovah: and the bullock shall be killed before the
Yehovah.
4:16 And the priest that is anointed shall bring of the bullock's blood to
the tabernacle of the congregation:
4:17 And the priest shall dip his finger in some of the blood, and sprinkle
it seven times before Yehovah, even before the vail.
4:18 And he shall put some of the blood upon the horns of the altar which is
before Yehovah, that is in the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall
pour out all the blood at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering,
which is at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
4:19 And he shall take all his fat from him, and burn it upon the altar.
4:20 And he shall do with the bullock as he did with the bullock for a sin
offering, so shall he do with this: and the priest shall make an atonement
for them, and it shall be forgiven them.
4:21 And he shall carry forth the bullock without the camp, and burn him as
he burned the first bullock: it is a sin offering for the congregation.
4:22 When a ruler hath sinned, and done somewhat through ignorance against
any of the commandments of Yehovah his Elohim concerning things which should
not be done, and is guilty;
4:23 Or if his sin, wherein he hath sinned, come to his knowledge; he shall
bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a male without blemish:
4:24 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the goat, and kill it in the
place where they kill the burnt offering before Yehovah: it is a sin
offering.
4:25 And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering with his
finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall
pour out his blood at the bottom of the altar of burnt offering.
4:26 And he shall burn all his fat upon the altar, as the fat of the
sacrifice of peace offerings: and the priest shall make an atonement for him
as concerning his sin, and it shall be forgiven him.
4:27 And if any one of the common people sin through ignorance, while he
doeth somewhat against any of the commandments of Yehovah concerning things
which ought not to be done, and be guilty;
4:28 Or if his sin, which he hath sinned, come to his knowledge: then he
shall bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a female without blemish, for
his sin which he hath sinned.
4:29 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and slay
the sin offering in the place of the burnt offering.
4:30 And the priest shall take of the blood thereof with his finger, and put
it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the
blood thereof at the bottom of the altar.
4:31 And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat is taken away
from off the sacrifice of peace offerings; and the priest shall burn it upon
the altar for a sweet savor unto Yehovah; and the priest shall make an
atonement for him, and it shall be forgiven him.
4:32 And if he bring a lamb for a sin offering, he shall bring it a female
without blemish.
4:33 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and slay
it for a sin offering in the place where they kill the burnt offering.
4:34 And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering with his
finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall
pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar:
4:35 And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat of the lamb is
taken away from the sacrifice of the peace offerings; and the priest shall
burn them upon the altar, according to the offerings made by fire unto the
Yehovah: and the priest shall make an atonement for his sin that he hath
committed, and it shall be forgiven him. |
